CANDIDATES

During the IMSA Alumni Association Annual Meeting, the association is to elect Officers and At-Large Members for the upcoming service year. At our 2022 meeting, the following positions are up for election, along with statements from each candidate:

1. Vice President (2-year term: August 31, 2022-August 31, 2024) [select up to one]

MICHAEL (BO) DRISCOLL, 2007

[No statement provided.]

2. Treasurer (2-year term: August 31, 2022-August 31, 2024) [select up to one]

TAMORA KIMMITT, 1991

I am an IMSA alum from the class of 1991. I have previously served as an IAA At-Large Cabinet Member for several years, assisting with events such as class reunions and the mini-Yare fundraiser. I am willing to assume the duties of the Treasurer position and ensure that the IAA's budget and tax filings are completed correctly.

3. At-Large Member (up to eleven may be elected; 1-year term: August 31, 2022-August 31, 2023) [select up to eleven]

ANGEL ALVAREZ, 1998

I wish to continue serving the IMSA Alumni Association.

BRITTNEY ANDRES-ROSSI, 2004

As a 2004 graduate, I understand how critical and influential IMSA can be. Like other alumni, I am passionate about helping IMSA and seeking a way to give back, which is why I am running for the IAA cabinet again.

My background is in hospitality and as an event coordinator with non-profit experience I’d like to help organize opportunities for alumni to connect with one another and re-connect with IMSA, as well as events for current students.

Serving as an At-Large member this past year has been informative and I hope to use this experience to become more involved and better assist IAA and IMSA.

MICHAEL (BO) DRISCOLL, 2007

[No statement provided.]

TIM MESSER, 2000

One of my goals upon joining the Cabinet in 2019 was to make better use of technology to improve communication with alumni. Even after the recent launch of the Connect@Yare alumni networking platform, much work remains. As many choose to participate in major social media platforms differently and/or less frequently, IAA will need to look at additional communication and outreach methods. I aim to continue work in this area.

I work at Fermilab and live in Naperville, so proximity to IMSA has allowed me to volunteer for on-campus activities in the past. I look forward to returning to campus more frequently in the near future as pandemic restrictions have eased. The last few years have been a challenging time for the IMSA community for many reasons, but progress is being made on the goals set by the Cabinet, and I wish to continue assisting in accomplishing those goals. I would be privileged to serve another term as an at-large representative, and I ask for your vote.

STEPHEN PAIGE, 2000

Having served 5 years as treasurer for IAA, I am interested in continuing my involvement as an at-large representative. I am interested in supporting the newly elected treasurer (given our recently obtained status as a standalone 501(c)(3) non-profit) and helping to bring them up to speed on what is legally required for IAA to stay in the good graces of the Illinois Secretary of State as well as the IRS.

In addition, I am interested in staying involved with alumni related activities, such as reunion, regional events, and other activities that IAA does to support its alumni members.

Please direct any questions to Brian Cudiamat, Class of 1996, of the 2022 IAA Elections Committee. These should be emailed to election@imsaalum.org.
